A total of 2,726 institutions including schools, madrasas and technical educational institutions achieved 100 per cent pass rate in the SSC and equivalent examinations increasing the number454 compared to the previous year.

Last year, the number of such kind of institutions was 2,272.

Of those, 107 institutions are from Dhaka, 22 from Rajshahi, 45 from Comilla, 33 from Jessore, 28 from Chittagong, 35 from Barisal, 39 from Sylhet, 34 from Dinajpur while 2,327 are under

Madrasa board and 56 under Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).

According to statistics of Education Board, the number of schools and madrasas having hundred per cent success was 774 in 2007 and 1,429 in 2006.

Besides, the number of least-performing institutions in SSC, Dakhil and SSC (Vocational) exams has also come down to 72 from previous year's 91.

In Comilla Board, the number of educational institutions having no success is nil.

The number of least performing schools and madrasas was 248 in 2007, 193 in 2006, 424 in 2005 and 548 in 2004.

The number of expelled examinees has also been falling sharply for the last five years.
